Carers Support

New Carers

Our friendly Patient Information Centre (PIC) is open 9am - 12pm Monday - Friday.

They are able to offer advice and give out an information pack to support carers in our area.

Please inform a member of the Reception Team or Care Coordinator Team if you are a new carer, or have not registered as a carer with us. Carers are entitled to a free seasonal flu vaccine each year, to help protect themselves and those that they care for.

Carer’s Health Team

The Carer’s Health Team visit the practice bimonthly  – please contact the surgery if you would like to book an appointment.

This is a free service provided by Sussex Community NHS Trust offering support for carers over the age of 18 registered with a West Sussex GP. We work directly with carers and will develop individual strategies for each carer with an aim to reduce the strain of coping with their caring role. We may, if it is necessary, also look at the health needs of the person who is being cared for.

We will visit carers in their own home at a time to suit their needs or carers can book onto our carers clinic within the surgery.
