THE WITTERINGS MEDICAL CENTRE
Opening Hours Mon-
You can book a telephone appointment to speak with a Doctor up to 2 weeks in advance. These can be useful to discuss problems that do not require a face to face consultation. E.g. to discuss test results, or problems with your medication.
The Doctor will phone you at an approximate time given to discuss your problem.
Please ensure you are available to take the phone call at this time. The Doctor is not allowed to leave messages on answer phones or voice mail, for reasons of confidentiality.
If you wish to speak to a Doctor and are not concerned with the exact time, you can ask the receptionists to put a message through to the Doctor. The Doctor will then contact you, but this may take up to 48 hours, depending on how busy he or she is.
Urgent advice calls from the duty doctor
Every morning and afternoon we have a designated duty doctor who is there to discuss any urgent matters with you. In the first instance the receptionist will take some details from you then ask the duty doctor to call you back as soon as possible. The duty doctor is not there to discuss routine matters. If an issue can wait for another day we ask that you book a routine telephone appointment instead.
