Hospital & Private prescriptions
If you have been given a hospital or private prescription we will happily convert it into one of our GP prescriptions. Please note this may take at least 72 hours.
If you need it before then it is recommended that you either collect it from the hospital pharmacy (if a hospital prescription) or pay for it privately (if a private prescription).
The Medical Centre now uses ‘electronic prescribing’ you still need to order your prescription in the same way however, the GP’s no longer print a physical prescription, it is electronically signed and sent to a pharmacy of your choice.
When you are next in the pharmacy of your choice please ensure you sign a nomination form.
If you would rather collect your prescription form the desk, we will happily still print it out and leave it there for your collection.
Requests for medication not on repeat.
If you wish a prescription for a medication that has not been added to your repeat, please DO NOT ask the pharmacist to arrange this.
You MUST ask for this via the surgery. You can speak to the receptionist or put your request in writing. We will need to know the exact name of the Medication and the reason you require a further prescription
