Coronary Heart Disease (CHD)

CHD clinics are held regularly by our Practice Nurse Bridget. They enable the practice to monitor patients who have heart disease.

Patients are seen annually by Bridget, who will arrange an ECG & blood tests to check for diabetes, cholesterol & kidney function.

During the clinic, she will check their blood pressure and discuss lifestyle and any problems or concerns that they may have.

It is very important for patients with CHD to attend these clinics as CHD is still the biggest causes of death in this country.

Asthma & Lung Disease (COPD)

Asthma and COPD clinics are held for our patients who have been diagnosed with breathing difficulties or respiratory disease. There are over 5.4 million people diagnosed with asthma in the UK. Asthma can be triggered by a variety of factors and can affect a person at any age in their life.

Due to advances in medicine, asthma can be a very manageable disease. It is essential however that Patients diagnosed  are seen annually by Nurse Practitioner Norma who will undertake a variety of tests such as a ‘spirometry test’ which measures the way in which you are breathing.

Minor Surgery

We are lucky enough to offer a Minor Surgery clinic here at the surgery using our fantastic purpose built Minor Operations Suite.

Dr Bhatt, Dr Crane and Nurse Practitioner Debbie Mitchell all take turns in leading these clinics which happen on a weekly basis.

Before you can book into the minor surgery clinics you will need a routine appointment with any doctor or Nurse Debbie.

Please note we do not remove lumps and bumps for cosmetic reasons.

Smoking Cessation

Mandie is our smoking Cessation advisor. She offers appointments on a regular basis.

Smoking is recognised as one of the hardest habits to stop and as each person is different she can discuss all the different options and to discuss which products may be best suited to you.

She is allowed to prescribe suitable products to help you stop smoking.
